Got questions?
We've got answers...
How much does a professional packing service cost?
Packing is charged by the hour: from £65 per hour for one packer, £75 for two packers and £85 for three, VAT included, with a minimum charge of 2 hours.
Do you bring the packing materials?
Yes. We bring strong moving boxes, bubble wrap, foam wrap, packing tape, mattress and sofa covers, wardrobe boxes and wrapping paper. Materials are either included or available at discounted prices, so there are no hidden extra costs.
How soon can I book a packer?
You can book your packing service up to the day before your move. We also offer same-day and last-minute packing for urgent situations, subject to availability.
Will you label my boxes?
Yes. Every box is labelled with its room and contents, and this is included with all our packing services.
Can you pack fragile items?
Yes. Our packers wrap china, glassware and other fragile items in specialist paper and bubble wrap, and pack them in strong boxes marked as fragile.
Do you offer an unpacking service?
Yes. As well as packing before your move, we can unpack everything at your new home.
Is my packing service insured?
Yes. Our packing service is fully insured with public liability and goods in transit insurance, and we are members of the Association of Independent Movers (AIM).
Which postcodes do you cover from Wembley?
HA0 (Wembley, Sudbury, North Wembley), HA9 (Wembley Park, Wembley Stadium area, Tokyngton), and adjacent HA1, HA3 and NW10 postcodes. Call 0208 0900 232 or email info@rmvlondon.com to confirm your specific address.
Can you pack South Asian textile and ceremonial collections?
Yes. Sari and embroidered textile collections are packed with acid-free tissue interleaving. Brass and silver ceremonial kitchenware is individually wrapped with acid-free tissue as first contact. For gold jewellery and valuables, items are individually declared at quotation stage and securely packed. For multigenerational household contents covering several rooms, a pre-pack call confirms the full scope of categories so we arrive with the correct materials and sufficient time.
Do I need to include the garage in my packing estimate?
Always, and this is the most common scheduling error on a Wembley booking. A full double garage on a Sudbury or Preston semi occupied for 15 or more years will typically contain 25 to 35 boxes of accumulated contents. Confirm the garage scope at quotation stage to avoid additional cost and schedule extension on packing day.
Can you pack for an international move from Wembley?
Yes. Our international removals service covers all destinations with export-standard packing, itemised customs inventory and full shipping documentation. South Asian, East African and Caribbean destinations are frequent routes from HA0 and HA9. Pre-departure storage is available through our Wembley storage service where the departure date falls after the property handover.
international removalsHow far in advance should I book?
For large Barham Park or Wembley Hill detached properties with specialist contents, four to six weeks is recommended for survey, materials ordering and scheduling. For standard three and four-bedroom semis, two to three weeks is sufficient. Same-day and last-minute packing is available across all HA postcodes, call 0208 0900 232 directly.
WEMBLEY PACKERS AND MOVERS
Professional Packing Services in Wembley, HA0, HA9 and the North Circular Corridor
Wembley sits at the centre of the London Borough of Brent, one of the most culturally diverse local authorities in the entire country. The HA0 and HA9 postcodes span a wide residential range: purpose-built flats and newer apartment developments around Wembley Central station and the Olympic Way retail corridor; the dense stock of 1930s semi-detached and terraced houses that lines the residential streets of Sudbury, Preston, North Wembley and Tokyngton; larger detached properties along the more established roads of Wembley Hill and the Barham Park fringe.
Wembley is also home to one of London's most established South Asian communities, concentrated particularly along the Ealing Road corridor in HA0, where multigenerational households, large family gathering spaces and specialist cultural collections make for packing requirements that generic removal companies are rarely equipped to handle correctly.
Wembley's transport connections are strong from every direction: the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines serve Wembley Park (HA9); the Bakerloo line and London Overground serve Wembley Central (HA0); Chiltern Railways provides direct services to Birmingham and the Midlands from Wembley Stadium station.
The North Circular (A406) and A40 Western Avenue give fast road access westward to the M40 and M25, and east across North London to the M11. Wembley sits on a natural crossing point between inner West London, outer Middlesex and the Midlands motorway network, which means a higher-than-average proportion of long-distance moves in both directions, alongside a consistent international move volume from the area's large South Asian, East African and Caribbean residential communities.
Our AIM (Association of Independent Movers) accreditation means our insurance, materials, training and customer care are checked by an independent body. You can read more about the company on our About Us page.
Who We Pack For in Wembley
South Asian Community Households in HA0 and the Ealing Road Corridor
Wembley's South Asian community, predominantly Gujarati Hindu, Punjabi and East African Asian families whose presence in the HA0 area dates back to the 1960s and 1970s, is among the most established in Greater London. Household packing in these communities regularly involves sari and lehenga collections requiring acid-free tissue interleaving to prevent colour transfer and crease damage; large-format decorative brass and silver-plated ceremonial kitchenware, thalis, puja lamps, decorative vessels, individually wrapped with acid-free tissue as first contact; extensive formal crockery sets for family gatherings and events; gold jewellery and valuables requiring individual declaration and secure packing; and, in multigenerational households, the accumulated contents of several decades of family occupation including furniture, textiles and religious artefacts spanning multiple rooms.
Our Wembley man and van service handles single-room, supplementary and smaller moves across HA0 and HA9.
Families in 1930s Wembley Semis Upsizing Across Brent or Out to Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire
The dominant housing stock across Sudbury, Preston, Harrow Road and North Wembley is the three and four-bedroom semi-detached house of 1930s build, typically with loft conversion, extended kitchen and a single or double garage in long family occupation.
These properties are heavily underestimated at the packing stage: the garage alone can contain 20 to 35 boxes of accumulated tools, garden equipment, sports items and stored goods that must be factored into the schedule from the outset.
New-Build Residents at Wembley Park Making First or Second Moves
The Wembley Park regeneration zone, Quintain's development across HA9, has created a large population of relatively recent residents in two and three-bedroom flats, many of whom are young professionals or young families making their first or second home move.
First moves from a new-build flat present a deceptively straightforward packing profile; a partial packing service covering electronics, kitchen and any fragile items is the most common choice, with the household managing clothing and personal items independently.
Long-Term Wembley Hill and Barham Park Residents Downsizing
The Barham Park estate fringe and Wembley Hill Road area contains the highest-value residential properties in the HA0 postcode, large detached and semi-detached Victorian and Edwardian houses in long family occupation, frequently with considerable accumulated contents including antiques, pianos, fine art and extensive furniture collections. Pre-move surveys are recommended for any Wembley Hill or Barham Park property that has been in occupation for 20 or more years.
Event-Industry and Hospitality Businesses Relocating from the Wembley Stadium Precinct
The commercial and hospitality cluster around Wembley Stadium and the SSE Wembley Arena generates consistent office packing requirements, event management companies, catering operations and sports hospitality businesses relocating within or out of the HA9 Stadium precinct. Our Wembley removals team coordinates transport and packing as a single booking.
How Our Wembley Packing Service WorksStep 1, Property Assessment and Parking
Wembley Central and Wembley Park town centre addresses have CPZ and event-day parking restrictions that require advance planning, on Wembley Stadium event days, road closures and spectator access management can make standard loading access across HA9 extremely difficult.
Parking suspension applications to the London Borough of Brent are required for any restricted zone residential address. For Wembley Park new-build developments, building management access protocols and lift booking are confirmed in advance.
Step 2, Choose Your Packing Level
A full packing service is standard for Wembley Hill and Barham Park detached properties with specialist contents. A partial packing service covering the kitchen, cultural collections, electronics and fragile items suits the majority of Sudbury and Preston 1930s semi-detached households.
A full packing and unpacking service, where the crew packs at the origin address and unpacks room by room at the destination, is popular with young families upsizing from Wembley Park flats to suburban semis in Harrow, Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire.
Step 3, Materials Confirmed and Ordered
All materials, including acid-free tissue for South Asian textile and ceremonial collections, anti-tarnish wrapping for silverware, flat-pack picture cartons for framed art and wardrobe boxes for garment collections, can be ordered through our Packing Shop for delivery to any HA0 or HA9 address. We bring a full material stock on packing day and charge only for what is used.
Step 4, Packing Day
Floor and surface protection is laid in all hallways before movement begins. For 1930s Wembley semis with garages, garage contents are confirmed at the pre-move stage, a full double garage in long occupation commonly adds the equivalent of an extra room to the packing schedule. All boxes are labelled by destination room and content category; a complete packed-items inventory is provided on completion.
Specialist Packing in Wembley - Cultural Collections, Fine Art, Antiques and International MovesSouth Asian Textile and Ceremonial Kitchenware Packing
Sari, lehenga and embroidered textile collections are folded with acid-free tissue interleaving to prevent colour transfer. Silver-plated and brass ceremonial pieces, thalis, brass lamps, puja sets, are individually wrapped with acid-free tissue as first contact and padded blankets as outer protection. Large formal crockery sets for family gatherings are individually wrapped in packing paper and packed in double-walled cartons.
For multigenerational household contents spanning textiles, jewellery and religious artefacts across several rooms, a pre-pack call confirms the full scope so the correct materials and sufficient time are allocated on packing day.
Fine Art and Antiques from Barham Park and Wembley Hill
Acid-free tissue as first contact on all lacquered, gilded and polished antique surfaces. Padding blanket outer wrapping with stretch film securing for large pieces. Custom crating for structurally fragile or unusually shaped period pieces, confirmed at the pre-move survey. For bespoke furniture without original packaging, foam board inserts and custom-cut padding are prepared in advance of packing day.
International Packing for Moves to South Asia, East Africa and the Caribbean
Our international removals service provides export-standard packing with itemised customs inventory and full documentation for all destinations. International moves from HA0 and HA9 regularly include South Asian textile and ceremonial collections, gold and jewellery items requiring individual declaration and secure packing, and large volumes of household effects for groupage container consolidation or sole-use 20-foot sea freight shipment. Our Wembley storage service handles pre-departure storage where packed contents need to be held before the confirmed departure date.
How Long Does Packing Take in Wembley?
How long two packers usually need in Wembley homes:
- 1-bedroom Wembley Park new-build flat: 2-4 hours
- 2-bedroom HA0 or HA9 flat: 3-5 hours
- 3-bedroom Sudbury or North Wembley terrace: 4-7 hours
- 3-bedroom Wembley semi-detached (no garage): 5-8 hours
- 3-4 bedroom 1930s semi with garage: 7-12 hours, garage scope must be confirmed in advance
- 4-5 bedroom Wembley Hill or Barham Park detached: 10-16 hours, pre-move survey recommended
The garage is the most consistently underestimated variable on any Wembley semi-detached booking. A full double garage in a Sudbury or Preston semi in occupation for 15 or more years may contain 30 or more boxes of accumulated tools, garden equipment, sports items and stored goods. Confirming the garage contents at quotation stage is standard on every HA0 and HA9 booking.
Packing Materials for a Wembley Move
A typical three-bedroom semi in HA0 or HA9 with no special items needs about 8 small boxes, 14 medium and 10 large cartons, 3 wardrobe boxes, 4 archive boxes for books, bubble wrap, 8 padding blankets, corner guards for mirrors and pictures, sofa and mattress covers, stretch film and tape.
For South Asian textile and ceremonial collections: add acid-free tissue interleaving and double-walled cartons. For Barham Park and Wembley Hill detached properties with fine art and antiques: add flat-pack picture cartons, acid-free tissue, foam-lined individual wrapping and custom crating as confirmed at the pre-move survey. All materials are available through our Packing Shop with delivery to any HA0 or HA9 postcode address.
Packing in Wembley: The HA0 and HA9 Moving Market and What Makes It Different
No competitor packing page covering Wembley addresses the three features that actually define the HA0 and HA9 packing market. First: the South Asian community specialist collections, saris, ceremonial kitchenware, gold jewellery, multigenerational household contents, that require specific materials and handling knowledge that generic packing crews do not carry as standard. Second: the garage underestimation problem on Wembley's dominant 1930s semi-detached stock, which is the single most consistent cause of schedule overrun and additional cost on a Wembley booking. Third: the international move volume from HA0 and HA9, to South Asia, East Africa and the Caribbean, that requires export-standard packing, customs documentation and groupage container coordination from a company with an established international removals service.
Wembley also occupies a significant position in the North London and Middlesex geography. Its transport connectivity, three Underground lines, Chiltern Railways, the A40/M40 corridor and the North Circular, makes it one of the best-connected outer London districts in any direction. RMV's service area extends westward into Harrow and Middlesex, eastward across Brent and North London, and northward along the M1 corridor, covering the full range of outbound destinations from HA0 and HA9 postcodes for long-distance UK moves, European freight and international shipping. Packing tips
Pack like a pro
A box of essentials
Chargers, regular medication, toiletries, towels, a change of clothes, basic tools and important documents such as keys and passports. Label it clearly, keep it apart from the rest and ideally take it yourself.
Clothes, shoes and bedding
Fold clothes into medium boxes and hang delicate clothing in wardrobe boxes (50.8 × 45.7 × 122 cm). Pack shoes in layers with paper between them, and label bedding boxes for easy unpacking.
Wrap fragile items one by one
Wrap each item on its own in packing paper, or bubble wrap for larger pieces. Line the box with scrunched paper, fill every gap, put paper inside bowls and vases, and mark the box with fragile tape.
We have always used RMV over the years for moving in London and have highly rated them. Recently we moved from a 3 bedroom flat to a house within London. I cannot thank RMV for making the day run so smoothly.
They are so efficient, well organised and excellent movers. They were quick to assist with delicate items and everything was moved in the most professional manner. They were a lovely, friendly and professional team. If you are moving I would highly recommend this company! Thanks RMV.
