Peter chose The Wembley Removal Company for a complex move that needed meticulous planning and professional execution from the first conversation to the last box. Wembley is a part of London where planning matters more than most, and this is how we approach a move like Peter's.
Planning a Move in Wembley
Wembley is really two places within one postcode zone. HA9, around the stadium, is a regeneration district of new apartment towers along Olympic Way and Engineers Way, where moves often involve lift bookings, loading bay coordination and limits on the size of vehicle. HA0, to the south and west, is long-established housing: Edwardian and interwar terraces along Harrow Road and Wembley High Road, and family homes that have been lived in for years. Beyond the stadium, HA9 also takes in the interwar semis and terraces of Sudbury and North Wembley, the estate housing of Tokyngton and larger detached homes near the Welsh Harp. Each needs a different plan, and the right one starts with knowing the street.
Wembley also has a constraint no other London postcode shares. On stadium and arena event days, the roads serving half of Wembley's residential streets are closed from 10am to midnight, so event-day timings are confirmed with every Wembley Park booking before a date is fixed. For smaller jobs, such as flat moves, student moves and same-day deliveries across HA0 and HA9, our Wembley man and van service runs seven days a week with one van and driver.
A Survey Before the Quote
A complex move starts with a survey. A short WhatsApp video of the property, or a free visit if you prefer, shows our team the volume of belongings, the furniture sizes, the number of boxes needed, the access at both ends and the vehicle the job calls for. From that we decide how many movers to send and prepare a quotation that already includes wrapping, dismantling and reassembly, so there are no surprises on the day.
Professional Execution on the Day
On moving day our team packs with top-quality materials, wraps and protects the furniture, and dismantles the larger pieces so they travel safely. Heavy items are loaded first, with boxes and fragile items secured on top, and every box is labelled for the room it goes to, so unloading follows the plan and the furniture is reassembled where it belongs. Every load is strapped so nothing shifts on the way.
We are AIM-accredited and fully insured, and every HA9 job is GPS-tracked. Our handymen travel with the movers to take apart and rebuild furniture, and we can also take on urgent moves at short notice when plans change quickly. The team arrives fully prepared with its own tools and needs no help on the day. Where we pack the whole home, a team of two to three experienced packers usually does it, and for a larger property packing can take a full day on its own.
Storage Without the Stadium Traffic
Most storage in Wembley is on the Stadium Industrial Estate off the North Circular, which means loading a van and driving into event-day traffic. Our storage comes to you instead: we deliver a secure container to your HA address, load it on the spot and take the sealed unit to our monitored facility away from the event-day congestion zone. Containers start at £19.99 per week, with no event-day surcharges, and the same container comes back to any address you choose. See our Wembley storage page for details.
